Paper-Doll Actors
++Questions+++
When creating a character, the first things that should come to mind are questions: Why do they need to exist in the story? What role will they play? Where and when do they live? Who are they around most of the time? What have / do /will they do with their life?
{Et cetera.}
Answer these questions as they come. Let's say I'm creating a main character: He must exist because the protagonist needs a close friend for the story to work; he'll be the protagonist's foil, then, to provide contrast. He lives in...let's say a small town before TVs but after radios. He mostly hangs out with the protagonist {who I've decided is an easily excitable extrovert} because they work in a grocery store for extra fun-money. He's rather laid-back and has no immediate greater plans in life, but he's considering a lot of things.
From here on out, continue to ask yourself why and how: Let's say he's the protagonist's close friend because they've known eachother just about fo

Waterfall
It looked like rain today.
The man sighed and lit his cigarette, staring off the old bridge into the harbor below. Out here, beyond the noise and hustle-bustle of the city, it was always dark and overcast, but the rain the sky promised never came. It made the man wonder, briefly, where all the water in the harbor came from. Not from this lying sky, certainly. Maybe another sky, but not this one.
He put out the flame on what was left of his cigarette and walked away.
-
The next day, a cat was waiting for him.
It was a scrawny, messy thing no bigger than your average rat, but it sat on top of the bridge wall and stared at the man from when he came to when he left. It didn't want anything, and it had no reason to be there, but there it was.
The man didn't like that cat. Dumb thing shouldn't have been on his bridge, but he let it stay anyways.
-
That cat was still there.
It was down by his feet now, where the air smelled less like smoke, rubbing against his legs and getting the man's pants

Wiregrass Ref.
   Wiregrass is one of the more unusual pieces of flora from Driscal; not only is it one of the only true plants that can move when it wants to, it literally grows an exoskeleton of sorts to protect itself from damage. This exoskeleton starts off as a series of small rings along the living plant that will grow and become thicker until its own weight makes it detach from the plant itself, which immediately begins growing a new set of rings, which push out on the first layer to make room for themselves, then drop off...on and on. The time from "small rings" to " fusing and dropping off" can take up to twelve years in its natural habitat, but when grown in murky, muddy blackwater, this is sped up to barely a year with the same outcome: nearly four inches of shining, bronze-colored metal, presumably a waste product of the living plant.
   Wiregrass itself is very delicate in appearance; dark green [almost black when perfectly healthy] with thin, delicate stems

It is important to note that the only two areas where copied works are deemed acceptable are the Scrapbook and the various Fan Art galleries.

See? They accept it if its in fanart or scrapbook, and its in my scraps.

I referenced the lines they aren't copied!!! i changed the feet and tail everything is different, except the body that i referenced from other lines.

if you dont believe me then thats your problem not mine.
